Senior Memory

TIME TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN MY LIFE!!!

Wow Wow!!what a great year! I am really gonna miss high school, this senior year has been really great. Along with learning alot of new things i have also had the priveledge to meet a lot of new people and share my experience with them also. I will never forget the first day i stepped into Piper so afraid of what people would think of me, i didnt really know anyone so i often stayed to myself. Then i joined the Varsity Cheerleading team where i met alot of cool people which caused me to open up more. Then i just sat back and acted myself and i made more and more cool friends and teachers. Another cool Senior moment was most definetly prom! Although i didnt get a chance to attend Grad Bash I still had a ball at prom. I really dont want to leave but you have to live your life so i am going to persue my life and go straight to college and pursue my big dreams!! I will not forget the people who made a big impact in my life and those who made me miserable...so all and all i want to thank everyone and you guys will truly be missed!!!!='[

where in the world would u like to go

I WANT TO GO TO PARIS!!
Paris is one of the world's wonders. Conquered in 52 BC by the Romans, it has been just a small fishing village on the island in the middle of the river Seine. The tribe living there has been called Parisians, but the Romans gave the village a new name - Lutetia (French: Lutèce). And it is the Romans, who built the village into the big and important city, expanding it to the banks of the Seine, far beyond the island - Ile de la Cité, where the Notre Dame Cathedral stands today. At the end of the Roman occupation around 5th century, the city returned to its original name - Paris and in 508 became the capital of the state of Franks.Since then, century after century, epoch after epoch, Paris grew in importance. In the 12th century king of France Philip II Augustus, built the new wall around the city, with sixty defensive towers. Paris has been then an important religious centre, and because of its university (Sorbonne), an important centre of science and culture for the whole Western Europe. At the same time, the city has been busy with crafts, trade and fashion.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Police say the mother of 3-year-old boy found buried at New Mexico playground told investigators she intentionally suffocated him.
Albuquerque Police Chief Ray Schultz says 23-year-old Tiffany Toribio was arrested early Thursday.
He says the Toribio told officers she had taken her son, Ty Toribio, to Alvarado Park, where she placed her hand over his nose and mouth and suffocated him.
The boy's body was found Friday.
Police say Toribio told them she didn't want an attorney. Attempts to reach Toribio's mother for comment were not immediately successful.
THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A 23-year-old woman whose son hasn't been seen for over a week has been arrested in the death of a 3- to 4-year-old boy found buried in the sand at a New Mexico playground.
Albuquerque court records show Tiffany Toribio was arrested early Thursday on an open count of murder and several counts of child abuse resulting in death. She's being held on $250,000 bond.
Police Chief Ray Schultz says Toribio is a transient who had stayed at a home several blocks from Alvarado Park, where the unidentified boy's body was found last Friday.
Family members and others contacted police after investigators released an image of the boy. Relatives said the image was similar to Toribio's 3-year-old son, who hadn't been seen since May 12.

SOMETHING YELLOW

The Sun is by far the largest object in the solar system. It contains more than 99.8% of the total mass of the Solar System (Jupiter contains most of the rest).
It is often said that the Sun is an "ordinary" star. That's true in the sense that there are many others similar to it. But there are many more smaller stars than larger ones; the Sun is in the top 10% by mass. The median size of stars in our galaxy is probably less than half the mass of the Sun.
The Sun is personified in many mythologies: the Greeks called it
Helios and the Romans called it Sol.
The Sun is, at present, about 70%
hydrogen and 28% helium by mass everything else ("metals") amounts to less than 2%. This changes slowly over time as the Sun converts hydrogen to helium in its core.

What am i afraid of

I HATE AND ARE AFRAID OF LEACHES!!!EWWW...Leeches (often misspelled leach or leaches) are flattened segmented worms with a sucker on both tail and mouth. They move by attaching the mouth sucker, then tail sucker, then mouth sucker, and so on, flipping along the surface similar to an inchworm.
Most leeches live in the water, though some can survive dry periods water by burrowing in the mud. Some leeches even live in moist environments on the land. Most leeches avoid light.

Post a Pic tell a Story

HARLINGEN, Texas – This week should have been a joyous time for Judy Trunnell, a 33-year-old schoolteacher who had just given birth to a healthy baby girl.
But the friends and relatives whose cars lined the quiet street in front of her home in a quiet subdivision Tuesday instead were mourning her, the first American with swine flu to die.
"We're grieving now," said a woman with tear-streaked eyes who declined to give her name.
In Maryland, her cousin told WMAR-TV in Baltimore that Trunnell had died after spending two weeks in the hospital. She slipped into a coma, and her baby was delivered by Cesarean section, Mario Zamora said.
"She was just a beautiful person, warm at heart. She worked with disabled children as a teacher," Zamora said. "Those that knew her will always remember her."
Texas health officials stopped short of saying that swine flu caused Trunnell's death. State health department spokeswoman Carrie Williams said the schoolteacher had "chronic underlying health conditions" but wouldn't give any more details.
She died early Tuesday after being hospitalized since April 19, said Leonel Lopez, Cameron County epidemiologist.
Trunnell's death came as life in the areas hardest hit by the outbreak began returning to normal. In Mexico, where the current strain is thought to have originated, stores, restaurants and factories were officially allowed to reopen Tuesday. And U.S. health officials withdrew their recommendation that schools with suspected swine flu cases shut down for two weeks.

Earth Day, celebrated April 22, is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in 1970 and is celebrated in many countries every year. This date is Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.
The
United Nations celebrates an Earth Day each year on the March equinox, which is often March 20, a tradition which was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969.

Plane that crashed into Fla. home radioed for help

By ILLEANA MORALES, Associated Press Writer Illeana Morales, Associated

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – A small plane crashed into a house shortly after taking off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport Friday morning, slicing the home down the middle into two charred pieces.
The plane, believed to be a twin-engine Cessna 421, crashed around 11:20 a.m., and the house burst into flames, authorities said. It wasn't immediately clear whether anyone was inside the home, which is about two miles from the airport. Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said one person was on board the plane, but it wasn't known if that person survived.
"I was on the phone, the phone went dead and there was this loud bang and a lot of black smoke emanating from the area," said Dorothy O'Brien, 83, who lives nearby. "Black, black smoke for at least ten minutes."
Though the fire was under control, authorities were trying to determine how much fuel the plane was carrying and whether the engine had cooled before any search of the plane's wreckage could begin.
"Our main concern right now is fuel load. We want to make sure that is stabilized," Oakland Park Fire-Rescue Chief Donald Widing told CNN.
The plane was headed to Fernandina Beach, just outside Jacksonville, where airport officials expected it to land around 1 p.m. But after takeoff, something went wrong. Shortly after it got into the air, it reported trouble to the tower, and the tower cleared it to turn around and land, said Chaz Adams, an airport spokesman. Before it could, it crashed.
FAA records list the plane's owner as Sebring Air Charter in Tamarac, a Fort Lauderdale suburb. A message left at a phone number listed on Florida corporate records for one of the charter company's officers was not immediately returned.
The crash was at least the third involving the airport, which caters to small planes and jets, in the last five years.
A DC-3 cargo plane crashed shortly after takeoff into a residential street near the airport in 2005. The pilot, co-pilot and a passenger all survived. The pilot said at the time they chose the street because it was quiet and wide, and has an abundance of tall palm trees he could run into to slow the plane's speed.
In 2004, a Piper Cherokee crashed into the roof of an auto body shop shortly after takeoff, killing two people on the plane and critically injuring a third.
National Transportation Safety Board records show that Cessna 421s have been involved in 12 fatal accidents since 2004.
